FOOD ALLERGEN ELISA KITS – Food Elisa kits – Food Allergen Tests
FOOD SAFETY WITH FOOD ALLERGEN ELISA KITS
Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc. develops, manufacturers, and distributes a wide range of Food Allergen ELISA Kits to assist in the screening and analyses underlying allergen control and food safety as carried out by the food industry, laboratories, physicians, consumers, government agencies, and law enforcement authorities. These Food Allergen ELISA Kits are screening and quantitative food allergen tests to detect food allergens that increasingly cause allergies to millions of consumers, and to improve food safety of commercially sold food products. Our unique Food Allergen ELISA Kits are specifically suited to detect allergens, such as almond, walnut, mustard, lupine, hazelnut, peanut, soy, egg, gluten, and beta-lactose/milk residues. These Food Allergen ELISA Kits are an economical and convenient way to pinpoint specific food allergens to ensure food safety. Findings on these food allergen tests give a detailed analytical result that can be used to target and eliminate sources of irritation to individual consumers and safeguard food safety in certain segment populations.
FOOD SAFETY USING FOOD ALLERGEN TESTS
Food allergies and labeling continue to be a concern for consumers, government, and the food industry worldwide. To improve consumer food safety, comply with food allergen screening and labeling laws, and to protect their own reputation and business, food producers need analytical methods to monitor the presence of food allergens in their products to certify food safety. How can food producers effectively select and implement a detection method from the range of methods available to guarantee food safety? One of the most widely used methods available are food allergen tests, such as that offered in the Food Allergen ELLISA Kits. Food manufacturers protect those with food allergies by clearly labeling their products with a list of ingredients. However, Food allergen tests ensure food manufacturers that an unlabeled and potentially dangerous ingredient did not make its way into a food product. Food Allergen Testing can also add to, and protect, a company’s reputation. Currently, some companies put a precautionary statement like “may contain peanut and peanut products” on the ingredient label, even though there is very little chance the product actually contains any peanut byproduct. If food allergen screening, or food allergen testing, is done, then companies may be able to minimize the use of precautionary labels to assure food safety.
Food allergens constitute a high risk for the food industry that wants to guarantee the food safety of their products. The allergenic protein that causes reactions is highly stable and heat resistant. The only safe course of action to ensure food safety is complete segregation of allergens and correct labeling practices to guide allergic consumers. If products are mislabeled or contamination occurs, an allergic individual may experience a reaction called anaphylactic shock, a potentially deadly condition that is increasingly observed in the population, particular children. Food Allergen screening and labeling legislation is in place around the world and food manufacturers increasingly are mandated to conduct formal allergen control, which includes regular food allergen testing. Many countries, including the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the European Union, have adopted their own food allergen testing and proper food allergen screening and labeling practices to ensure food safety.
These Food Allergen ELISA Kits are Immunoassay for the Quantitative Determination of a specific food allergen screening of food. The Food Allergen tests are based on the binding of allergenic protein by specific antibodies. These Food Allergen ELISA Kits are enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) that have been developed and are available for the detection of different food allergens. With the availability of these Food Allergen ELISA Kits, routine food allergen screening of products for the presence of specific food allergens is possible.
POPULAR FOOD ALLERGEN TESTS
The prevalence of food allergies is increasing and there is no cure for the condition. Food allergic consumers must avoid food allergens and rely on clear and accurate food allergen screening and labeling for establishing food safety. However, traces of allergenic substances in food may cause problems for allergic individuals as they are inadvertently exposed to these silent allergy causing materials. Food Allergen ELISA Kits have been found to be increasingly popular among physicians who are looking for a reliable method to aid in the diagnosis of an otherwise difficult diagnostic problem. The Food Allergen kits will identify the most common food allergy triggers and are a good starting point to identify problem areas. Specific concerns can be addressed with additional Food Allergen ELISA Kits. Food Allergen ELISA Kits are designed to detect one allergen at a time. For this reason, numerous food allergen tests may be needed to detect multiple food allergens.

HCV ELISA KIT
Los Angeles based Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc., offers a top quality HCV ELISA Kit that can immediately detect any hepatitis C infection. This HCV ELISA Kit is used for screening blood donors and diagnosing patients infected with the hepatitis C virus. Our company is committed to offering the best quality HCV ELISA Kit to our international customers.* This convenient and easy-to-use HCV ELISA Kit is for in vitro diagnostic use only.
HCV ELISA KIT – DETECTION OF HEPATITIS C VIRUS
How do doctors find hepatitis C antibodies in the blood? To determine if hepatitis C antibodies are in the blood, doctors use a screening test called ELISA, which stands for Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay. There are many different ELISA tests, so doctors must use one specifically for hepatitis C. This is where the HCV ELISA Kit comes in. The HCV ELISA Kit will search the blood sample for the hepatitis C antibody. This HCV ELISA Kit is very sensitive and picks up approximately 95% of people infected with hepatitis C antibodies. If the HCV ELISA Kit test finds any hepatitis C antibodies, that means an HCV infection is present. The HCV ELISA Kit is tempered by its sensitivity. For example, if the HCV ELISA Kit tests negative, patients are most likely free of hepatitis C infection. However, if the HCV ELISA Kit test is positive, there is a small possibility that the result could be incorrect, resulting in a “false-positive.” False-positives on this HCV ELISA Kit usually indicate more testing is required.
Since the introduction in 1990 of anti-HCV screening of blood donations, like this HCV ELLISA Kit, the incidence of this infection in transfusion recipients has been significantly reduced. The first generation of HCV ELISA Kit tests showed limited sensitivity and specificity and was produced using recombinant proteins complementary to the NS4 (c100-3) region of the HCV genome as antigens. Second generation HCV ELISA Kit tests, which included recombinant / synthetic antigens from the Core (c22) and nonstructural regions NS3 (c33c, c100-3) and NS4 (c100-3, c200), resulted in a remarked improvement in sensitivity and specificity. Clinical studies show that a significant amount of HCV infected individuals develop antibodies to NS5 non-structural protein of the virus. For this, the third generation HCV ELISA Kit tests include antigens from the NS5 region of the viral genome in addition to NS3 (c200), NS4 (c200) and the Core (c22). Third generation HCV ELISA KIT tests have improved sensitivity and shorten the time between infection with HCV and the appearance of detectable antibodies (window period) to 60 days.

Take a moment to read about these HIV ELISA Kits to see if they might fit your particular organization’s testing needs and procedures.
HIV ELISA KIT (ANTI-HIV 1+2 ELISA KIT) – CE APPROVED*
The HIV ELISA KIT ( Anti-HIV 1+2 ELISA Kit ) is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA kit) intended for qualitative detection of antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Viruses (HIV) type 1(group M – O) or type 2 in human serum or plasma samples. This HIV ELISA Kit can be utilized for screening of blood donors and/or as an aid in the diagnosis of clinical conditions related to infection with HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 (the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome – AIDS).
Serological evidence of infection with HIV may be obtained by using this HIV ELISA Kit in order to test for presence of HIV antigens or antibodies in serum of individuals suspected for HIV infection. Antigen can generally be detected from this HIV ELISA Kit during both acute phase and the symptomatic phase of AIDS only. The antibodies to (HIV-1) and/or (HIV-2) can be detected throughout virtually the whole infection period, starting at or shortly after the acute phase and lasting till the end stage of AIDS. Therefore, the use of highly sensitive antibody assays, like this HIV ELISA Kit, is the primary approach in serodiagnosis of HIV infection. Apart from sexual transmission, the principal route of infection with HIV is blood transfusion. HIV be can present both in cellular and cell-free fractions of human blood. Therefore, all donations of blood or plasma should be tested, using kits like these HIV ELISA Kits, due to the risk of HIV transmission through contaminated blood. This can be effectively achieved by testing for the antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2 by using a highly sensitive HIV ELISA Kit test like the ones offered by Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics. Inc.
HIV 1+2 ELISA is a two step incubation antigen “sandwich” enzyme immunoassay kit, (HIV ELISA Kit) which uses polystyrene microwell strips pre-coated with recombinant HIV antigens expressed in E.coli (recombinant HIV-1gp41, gp120, and recombinant HIV-2 gp-36). Patient’s serum or plasma sample from this HIV ELISA KIt, is added, and during the first incubation step, the specific HIV1/2 antibodies will be captured inside the wells if present. The microwells are then washed to remove unbound serum proteins. A second set of recombinant antigens conjugated to the enzyme Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP-Conjugate) and expressing the same epitopes as the pre-coated antigens is added, and during the second incubation on this HIV ELISA Kit test, they will bind to the captured antibody. The microwells on the HIV ELISA KIt are washed to remove unbound conjugate, and chromogen solutions are added into the wells. In wells containing the antigen-antibody-antigen (HRP) “sandwich” immunocomplex, the colorless chromogens are hydrolyzed by the bound HRP conjugate to a blue colored product. The blue color on this HIV ELISA Kit test turns yellow after the reaction is stopped with sulfuric acid. The amount of color intensity can be measured and it is proportional to the amount of antibody captured in the wells of this HIV ELISA Kit test and to the sample respectively. Wells containing samples negative for anti-HIV 1/2 remain colorless on this HIV ELISA Kit test.
* this HIV ELISA Kit is certified for use in Europe and any other country in the world, except the United States.
HIV ELISA KIT (HIV 1,2 Ag/Ab) ELISA Kit*
The HIV ELISA KIT - HIV Ag &Ab is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for qualitative determination of antigens or antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) type 1 and/or type 2 in human serum or plasma. The method is also known as 4th generation ELISA for HIV detection. This HIV ELILSA Kit is intended for screening of blood donors and as an aid for the diagnosis of clinical conditions related to infection with HIV-1and/or HIV-2 e.g. the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
The human immunodeficiency viruses type 1 and type 2 are the etiological agents of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and related conditions. HIV has been isolated from patients with AIDS, AIDS related complex (ARC) and from healthy individuals at high risk for AIDS. Infection with HIV is followed by an acute flu-like illness. This phase may remain unnoticed and the relationship to HIV infection may not be clear in many cases. The acute phase is typically followed by an asymptomatic carrier state, which progresses to clinical AIDS in about 50% of infected individuals within 10 years after seroconversion. Serological evidence of infection with HIV may be obtained by testing (using the HIV ELISA Kit) for presence of HIV antigens or antibodies in serum of individuals suspected for HIV infection. Antigens can generally be detected on this HIV ELISA Kit test during both acute phase and the symptomatic phase of AIDS only. The Antibodies to HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 can be detected, using this HIV ELISA Kit, throughout virtually the whole infection period, starting at, or shortly after the acute phase and lasting till the end stage of AIDS.
*this HIV ELISA Kit is available anywhere in the world except Europe and the United States.

The organism is present in 95-98% of patients with duodenal ulcer and 60-90% of patients with gastric ulcers. Prevalence of H.pylori infection is high worldwide. Several methods, both invasive and non-invasive, are available for detection of H. pylori infection. Invasive methods involve endoscopy and examination of gastric biopsies, e.g. by culture, rapid urease test or histology, and are generally not appropriate for large-scale population studies. Non-invasive methods include the urea breath test, serology, and a stool antigen test (see our H.pylori Antibody Rapid Test or H. pylori Antigen Rapid Test).
Popular in several countries worldwide are the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) for the quantitative detection in serum of lgA, lgG, and lgM antibodies to H. pylori infections. The use of serological testing, specifically these H.pylori Antibody ELISA kits that ascertain the immunologically produced antibody caused by H. pylori infection, have been the method of choice by many countries around the world for screening, diagnosis, and treatment of the H.pylori infection. With the recognition of H.pylori as an important human pathogen, a serology test, such as our H.pylori Antibody ELISA Kit, is the most frequently used testing format worldwide to treat H.pylori infections. Furthermore, these H.pylori Antibody ELISA kits may be more appropriate for use on pediatric patients, where techniques such as stool sample are undesirable and endoscopy and biopsy are invasive. Additionally, the H.pylori Antibody ELISA Kit may be used for follow-up purposes of treatment.
H. PYLORI ANTIBODY ELISA KIT TEST RESULTS
Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc.’s H. pylori Antibody ELISA Kit is most often the technique of choice for serologic tests because of its accuracy and simplicity. The H.pylori Antibody ELISA Kit uses an antigen preparation that has been partially purified to yield principally high molecular weight H.pylori membrane proteins. Any specific H.pylori antibody, lgA, lgG, or lgM antigen, is coated on the surface of micro wells. Diluted patient serum is added to wells, and the H.pylori lgA, lgG, or lgM specific antibody, if present, binds to the antigen. All unbound materials are washed away. After adding enzyme conjugate, it binds to the antibody-antigen complex. Excess enzyme conjugate is washed off and TMB Chromogenic substrate is added. The enzyme conjugate catalytic reaction is stopped at a specific time. The intensity of the color generated is proportional to the amount of H.pylori lgA, lgG, or lgM specific antibody in the sample. The results of the H.pylori Antibody ELISA KIt test are read by a micro well reader compared in a parallel manner with calibrator and controls. The H.pylori Antibody ELISA Kit allows for a sensitive and specific interpretation and detection of H.pylori in the system.

H.Pylori Antigen Rapid test – H pylori Rapid test – CE,GMP
H.PYLORI ANTIGEN RAPID TEST
Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc. offers a OneStep H.pylori Antigen Rapid test. This H.pylori Antigen Rapid Test is an in vitro qualitative immunochromatographic assay for the rapid detection of Helicobacter pylori antigens in human stool specimen. The H. pylori Antigen Rapid Test results are intended to aid in the diagnosis of H. pylori infection, to monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic treatment, and to confirm the eradication of H. pylori in peptic ulcer patients.
Helicobacter pylori is a corkscrew-shaped, gram-negative rod that lives in the mucous layer of the stomach. H. pylori infection is now accepted as the most common cause of gastritis, and is etiologically involved in gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric adenocarcinoma and primary gastric B-cell lymphoma. The organism is very common, infecting at least half of the world’s population. H. pylori infection is typically acquired in childhood. Once acquired, infection persists chronically, probably continuing in the stomach throughout life. The damage to gastric structure and function of stomach is constant and direct. Approximately one in six of H. pylori infection develops peptic ulcer disease and a small portion of H. pylori infection leads to gastric cancer.
H. PYLORI ANTIGEN TESTS
The H. pylori Antigen Tests for H. pylori infection can be classified into two categories: Invasive and Noninvasive tests. Direct detection by invasive H. pylori Antigen test procedures requires an endoscopy and biopsy specimens from antrum and stomach body. The presence of H. pylori infection is then confirmed by direct culture, histological examination or rapid urease test. The endoscopy and biopsy specimens offer direct detection of active H. pylori infections. Although the procedure is highly specific and has a high positive predictive value, the cost and discomfort to the patients are very high. The other category of H. pylori Antigen test is the noninvasive H. pylori Antigen test as a serological-based test. The serology test detects H. pylori specific IgG antibody in patient serum with current or prior infection. The serology test is a simple, convenient test with relative high sensitivity. The main limitation of the serology test is the inability to distinguish current and past infections. Antibody may be present in the patient’s serum long after eradication of the organism. The urease breath test (UBT) with C or C labeled urea, is a noninvasive test based on the urease activity of the organism. UBT detects active H. pylori infection and is highly sensitive and specific. The UBT requires a high density and active bacteria and should not be performed until 4 weeks after therapy to allow residual bacterial to increase to a sufficient number for detection.
H. PYLORI RAPID TEST RESULTS FOR ANTIGENS
Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc.’s OneStep H. pylori Antigen RapiCard™ InstaTest is an mmunochromatographic assay that uses antibody- coated colloidal gold to detect the presence of H. pylori antigens in stool specimens. The H. pylori Rapid Test detects direct antigens in specimens for an active infection. The H. pylori Rapid Test is simple and easy to perform and the H. Pylori Rapid Test results can be visually interpreted within 15 minutes. This OneStep H. pylori Antigen RapiCard™ InstaTest is a sandwich solid phase immunochromatographic assay. To perform the H. pylori Rapid Test, an aliquot of diluted stool sample is added to the sample well of the test cassette. The sample flows through a label pad containing H. pylori antibody coupled to red-colored colloidal gold. If the sample on the H. Pylori Rapid Test contains H. pylori antigens, the antigen will bind to the antibody coated on the colloidal gold particles to form antigen-antibody-gold complexes. These complexes move on the nitrocellulose membrane by capillary action toward the test line region on which H. pylori specific antibodies are immobilized. As the complexes reach the H. pylori Rapid Test line, they will bind to the antibody on the membrane in the form of a line. A second red control line will always appear in the result window to indicate that the H. pylori Rapid Test has been correctly performed and the H. pylori Rapid Test device functions properly. If H. pylori antigen is not present or lower than the detection limit of the H. pylori Rapid test, only the control line will be visible. If the control line does not develop, the H. pylori Rapid test is invalid.
Customers who use the H. pylori Antigen Rapid Tests also inquire about our H. pylori Antigen ELISA Kits, H. pylori Antibody Rapid Tests, and H. pylori Antibody ELISA Kits. These widely-used H.pylori Antigen Rapid Tests, H. pylori Antigen ELISA Kits, H. pylori Antibody Rapid Tests, and the H.pylori Antibody ELISA Kits are some of the most convenient and inexpensive H. pylori Rapid Tests and ELISA Kits on the market today. Specific H. pylori Antibody ELISA Kits fall into three categories: H. pylori Antibody lgG ELISA Kit, H. pylori Antibody lgA ELISA Kit, and H. pylori lgM ELISA Kit. For more information about the various H. pylori Antigen Rapid Tests, H.pylori Antigen ELISA Kits, H. pylori Antibody Rapid Tests, or the H. pylori Antibody ELISA Kits, please contact our Customer Service department.

COCAINE DRUG TEST – COC Drug Test – FDA,CE certified
COCAINE DRUG TEST (COC Drug Test)
Urinalysis is the most frequently used and least expensive form of cocaine drug testing devices used by organizations today. The results are taken from a urine sample on the cocaine drug test which provides information and indication of recent cocaine drug use. The Cocaine Drug Test is fast, accurate, and easy to perform. These are the same cocaine drug tests that are usually sold to employers, courts, schools, drug counselors, and rehab centers. An ideal cocaine drug test kit for employees, schools, and rehab centers, these cocaine drug testing kits are easy to use and are highly recommended by our distributors.
WHY A COCAINE DRUG TEST?
Sometimes drug testing is an important part of the hiring process for a business, and a cocaine drug test can specifically catch violators at the outset if they have had recent cocaine drug use. Usually, the hiring company contracts with an independent laboratory to conduct pre-employment drug tests. In this instance, a potential employee is asked to get a cocaine drug test, or a multi drug test, at this particular drug testing facility. Drug testing is also an important preventative measure to guard against workplace accidents by employees. Cocaine drug testing devices, and any multi drug test, can help the businesses screen employees for illegal drug use, especially for marijuana and cocaine. Cocaine drug tests, and multi drug test kits, are also popular at educational and sports facilities to screen for illegal drugs such as cocaine, marijuana, opiates, amphetamines, and methamphetamines. The easy-to-use cocaine drug tests are frequently requested by rehab facilities who want to specifically test their clients for cocaine drug use.
HOW A COCAINE DRUG TEST WORKS
Our Cocaine Drug Test (COC Drug Test) is an immunochromatography based one step in vitro test. This cocaine drug test is designed for qualitative determination of cocaine drug substances in human urine specimens.
The Cocaine Drug Testing device is based on the principle of specific immunochemical reaction between antibodies and antigens to analyze particular compounds in human urine specimen. The assay relies on the competition for binding antibody between drug conjugate and free drug which may be present in the urine specimen being tested. When the cocaine drug is present in the urine specimen, it competes with drug conjugate for the limited amount of antibody-dye conjugate. When the amount of the cocaine drug is equal or more than the cut-off, it will prevent the binding of drug conjugate to the antibody. Therefore, a positive urine specimen on the Cocaine Drug Test will not show a colored band on the test line zone, indicating a positive result, while the presence of a colored band indicates a negative result. A control line is present in the test window to work as procedural control. This colored band should always appear on the control line zone if the Cocaine Drug testing device is stored in good condition and the Cocaine Drug Test is performed appropriately.
This Cocaine Drug Test (COC Drug Test) provides only a preliminary analytical test result. A more specific alternative chemical method must be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result. Gas chromatography/ mass spectrometry (GC/MS) has been established as the preferred confirmatory method by the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Clinical consideration and professional judgment should be applied to any drug of abuse test result, particularly when preliminary positive results are indicated.
The optional built-in Adulteration Test is for validation of urine specimen’s integrity and must not be used for In Vitro diagnostic use. The cutoff level for this Cocaine Drug Test (COC Drug Test) is 300 ng/ml of benzoylecgonine. For customized cutoff level cocaine drug tests, please contact Customer Service. This Cocaine Drug Test (COC Drug Test) is available in multi-panel, cassette, strip, or cup format.

These multi drug test kits are designed for qualitative determination of drug substances in human urine specimens. These Multi Panel Drug Test Kits are highly accurate and cost effective. The multi panel drug test kits can detect any combination of the above drugs in the following formats: 2 panel drug test, 3 panel drug test, 4 panel drug test, 5 panel drug test, 6 panel drug test, 7 panel drug test, 8 panel drug test, and 9 panel drug test – up to 12 panel drug tests.
Advantages of Multi Panel Drug Testing Kits
Today there are several drug testing methods and multi panel drug testing kits available to serve everyone’s needs. Our multi drug tests come with a built-in control that indicates if the multi drug test is working or not. Multi drug test means that more than one drug can be tested simultaneously, and the multi panel drug test will display the results all at one time. The ease of using this multi panel drug test makes it suitable for all instances of drug testing, in private or public drug testing sites. Our multi drug test kits are designed for use in all types of facilities that include hospitals and laboratories, workplaces, schools, sports organizations, correctional institutions, counseling services, law enforcement agencies, rehab facilities, and judicial courts, especially in forensic drug detection. Multi panel drug tests are very effective when the multi panel drug test kit is used for random testing. With random testing, there are fewer chances for a person to clear if more than one drug was abused.
Multi panel drug test can detect a number of drugs present in any combination in a single sample of urine at first attempt. The primary objective of multi panel drug testing kits is to test for several drugs in a single sample at one time. Since a number of drugs can be tested through one drug test kit, there is no need to conduct separate drug tests for each drug, thus saving time and expense. A multi panel drug test is beneficial when the presence of multiple drugs has to be known quickly. The advantage of the multi panel drug test kit over single panel drug test kits is that even if one drug may be known to be present in the metabolism, the multi panel drug test kit will automatically detect any other hidden drug substance, not known, that may be present in the body at the time. This saves time and cost to the user. Multi drug test kits are also safe, secure, and simple to use.
Quick and Accurate Multi Panel Drug Test Results
The multi panel drug test kit is easy to use and the results are easy to read. These multi panel drug tests are very easy to administer, and the results provided by multi panel drug tests are quick, accurate, and reliable.
The Multi Panel Drug Testing device is based on the principle of specific immunochemical reaction between antibodies and antigens to analyze particular compounds in human urine specimen. The assay relies on the competition for binding antibody between drug conjugate and free drug which may be present in the urine specimen being tested. When any drug or drug combination is present in the urine specimen, it competes with drug conjugate for the limited amount of antibody-dye conjugate. When the amount of the drug on the multi panel drug test is equal or more than the cut-off, it will prevent the binding of drug conjugate to the antibody. Therefore, a positive urine specimen on the Multi Panel Drug Test will not show a colored band on the test line zone, indicating a positive result, while the presence of a colored band indicates a negative result. A control line is present in the test window to work as procedural control. This colored band should always appear on the control line zone if the multi panel drug testing device is stored in good condition and the multi panel drug test is performed appropriately. This multi panel drug test is available in strip, cassette, and cup format.

The Multi Panel Drug and Alcohol Test Kit provides easy-to-read results in minutes. Since urine alcohol concentration is normally higher than that in saliva and blood, the cutoff concentration for alcohol in urine is set at 0.04%; therefore, the cutoff level for this Multi Panel Drug and Alcohol Test is 0.04%
For customized cutoff level Multi Drug Tests and Multi Panel Drug and Alcohol Drug Tests, please contact Customer Service. This Multi Panel Drug and Alcohol test is available as a Rapid Test strip format.
HCV ELISA kit – HCV ab ELISA Kit – HCV igM ELISA Kit
USING HEPATITIS ELISA TEST KITS
(HCV ELISA KITS) to detect HEPATITIS C VIRUS
Los Angeles based Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc., a leading provider of Hepatitis ELISA Test Kits, offers top quality HCV ELISA kits at competitive prices and in a timely manner. Our company is committed to offering the best quality HCV Elisa kits worldwide. These convenient and easy-to-use HCV Elisa Kits (Hepatitis C ELISA Test Kits) can immediately detect any Hepatitis C infection.
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is an envelope, single stranded positive sense RNA (9.5 kb) virus belonging to the family of Flaviviridae. Six major genotypes and series of subtypes of HCV have been identified. Isolated in 1989, HCV is now recognized as the major cause for transfusion associated non-A, non-B hepatitis. The disease is characterized with acute and chronic form although more than 50% of the infected individuals develop severe, life threatening chronic hepatitis with liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinomas. Since the introduction in 1990 of anti-HCV screening of blood donations, the incidence of this hepatitis C infection in transfusion recipients has been significantly reduced.
There are two kinds of HCV ELISA kits available through Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc. One easy-to-use HCV ELISA Kit, also known as HCV ab ELISA Kit, is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for qualitative detection of IgG antibodies to hepatitis C virus in human serum or plasma. It is intended for screening blood donors and diagnosing patients related to infection with hepatitis C virus. The other convenient HCV ELISA Kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for qualitative detection of IgM-class antibodies to hepatitis C virus in human serum or plasma. It is intended for clinical diagnosis, management and follow-up of patients related to infection with hepatitis C virus.
RESULTS OF HCV ELISA TESTS
HCV ELISA kit (HCV ab ELISA Kit)
This anti-HCV employs solid phase, indirect ELISA method for detection of antibodies to HCV in two-step incubation procedure. Polystyrene microwell strips are pre-coated with recombinant, highly immunoreactive antigens corresponding to the core and the non-structural regions of HCV (third generation HCV ELISA). During the first incubation step, anti-HCV specific antibodies, if present, will be bound to the solid phase pre-coated HCV antigens. The wells are washed to remove unbound serum proteins, and rabbit anti-human IgG antibodies (anti-IgG) conjugated to the enzyme horseradish peroxidase (HRP-Conjugate) is added. During the second incubation step, these HRP-conjugated antibodies will be bound to any antigen-antibody(IgG) complexes previously formed and the unbound HRP-conjugate is then removed by washing. Chromogen solutions containing Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) and urea peroxide are added to the wells and in presence of the antigen-antibody-anti-IgG (HRP) immunocomplex, the colorless chromogens are hydrolyzed by the bound HRP conjugate to a blue-colored product. The blue color turns yellow after stopping the reaction with sulfuric acid. The amount of color intensity can be measured and it is proportional to the amount of antibody captured in the wells, and to the amount of antibody in the sample respectively. Wells containing samples negative for anti-HCV remain colorless.
HCV ELISA Kit (HCV IgM ELISA Kit)
This kit employs indirect ELISA assay for detection of IgM antibodies to HCV in two-step incubation procedure. Polystyrene microwell strips are pre-coated with recombinant, highly immunoreactive antigens corresponding to the core and non-structural regions of HCV. During the first incubation step, HCV-IgM specific antibodies, if present, will be bound to the solid phase pre-coated HCV antigens. The wells are washed to remove unbound materials, and then, rabbit anti-human IgM antibodies (anti-IgM) conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP-Conjugate) are added. During the second incubation step, these labeled antibodies will be bound to any antigen-IgM complexes previously formed and the unbound HRP-Conjugat is removed by washing. Chromogen solutions containing tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) and urea peroxide are added to the wells and in presence of the antigen- antibody-anti-IgM (HRP) immunocomplex; the colorless chromogens are hydrolyzed by the bound HRP conjugate to a blue-colored product. The blue color turns yellow after stopping the reaction with sulfuric acid. The amount of color intensity can be measured and is proportional to the amount of antibody captured in the wells, and to the sample respectively. Wells containing samples negative for HCV-IgM remain colorless.

QUESTIONS ABOUT ALCOHOL – ALCOHOL EDUCATION
Many private and public institutions ask about alcohol and drug tests. Questions about alcohol and drug tests are frequently posed to our customer representatives. Drug testing and alcohol testing is common in the workplace, at school, rehab facilities, and in the judicial courts. Perhaps the largest legal, social, and economic issue in the workplace is the use of drugs and alcohol. The reality for employers is that drug and alcohol use can affect employees’ health and productivity and impact safety in the workplace. Starting with an Alcohol education is an important part of understanding the effects of combining alcohol and drugs by individuals, and many companies are finding the internet a good place to start getting information about alcohol, what is alcohol, alcohol and drug use, and alcohol and drug testing devices that are available.
The questions about alcohol and what is alcohol can be answered by looking at the effects of alcohol. When a person drinks alcohol, the alcohol is absorbed by the stomach, enters the bloodstream, and goes to all the tissues. When alcohol is ingested, it is absorbed directly from the proximal small intestine and distributed throughout the entire fluid space of the body. After equilibrium is reached, alcohol will be found in all tissues of the body in proportion to their water content. Urine is the most practical specimen for alcohol testing. Peak urine alcohol levels are reached 45 to 60 minutes after alcohol ingestion. At this time, urine alcohol levels are typical about 1.3 times greater than the corresponding blood alcohol concentration. This ratio is only valid during the elimination phase, which occurs after the blood alcohol level has peaked and is decreasing. Alcohol may be detected in the urine for 1 to 2 hours longer than it is detected in blood.
EFFECTS OF ALCOHOL
Effects of alcohol use depend on a variety of factors, including a person’s size, weight, age, sex, and the amount of food and alcohol consumed. The effects of moderate alcohol consumption includes dizziness and talkativeness; large amounts of alcohol include slurred speech, insomnia, and nausea. Alcohol impairs judgment and coordination required in the workplace and in driving a car. Alcohol consumption at any level can cause aggressive or even violent behavior at home, school, or at the workplace. Prolonged, heavy use of alcohol can lead to addiction, commonly known as alcoholism. Withdrawal symptoms occur when alcohol intake is stopped. Long-term effects of consuming large quantities of alcohol can lead to permanent damage to vital organs, such as the liver, causing cirrhosis of the liver. Mothers who drink alcohol during pregnancy may give birth to infants with fetal alcohol syndrome. In addition, research shows that children of alcoholic parents are at greater risk than other children of becoming alcoholics. Acute alcohol intoxication can lead to loss of alertness, coma, and even death.
ABOUT ALCOHOL AND DRUG COMBINATIONS
Hundreds of studies show that combining alcohol and drugs is extremely dangerous. The simple fact is that alcohol is a drug, and when alcohol consumption is combined with other drugs, it can be lethal. For example, alcohol and depressants can slow down the central nervous system, produce loss of coordination, cause coma, and result in high risk of overdose and death. Alcohol and anti-depressants increase central nervous system depression and cause massive blood pressure increases which can result in brain hemorrhage and death. Alcohol and antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of antibiotics and cause other problems such as headaches, nausea, low blood pressure, or irregular heart beat. Alcohol and opiates (heroin and morphine) can lead to serious nervous system depression and death. Alcohol and marijuana (cannabis) more than doubles the effect of marijuana and increases the absorption of toxins. Alcohol and cocaine can increase blood pressure and when alcohol and cocaine are mixed, the body converts their broken-down products into cocaethylene, a chemical more deadly than cocaine, which increases the risk of overdose.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING PRODUCTS
Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc. offers some of the most effective drug and alcohol testing devices available. We offer various products which provide a definite way to determine the presence, or level of alcohol and drug in a person’s body. Our alcohol and drug testing products are very easy to use and provide rapid, accurate, and reliable results.
The Drug and Alcohol Testing device is based on the principle of specific immunochemical reaction between antibodies and antigens to analyze particular compounds in human urine specimen. The assay relies on the competition for binding antibody between drug conjugate and free drug which may be present in the urine specimen being tested. When any combination of drug or alcohol is present in the urine specimen, it competes with drug conjugate for the limited amount of antibody-dye conjugate. When the amount of the drug or alcohol is equal or more than the cut-off, it will prevent the binding of drug conjugate to the antibody. Therefore, a positive urine specimen on the drug and alcohol test will not show a colored band on the test line zone, indicating a positive result, while the presence of a colored band indicates a negative result. A control line is present in the test window to work as procedural control. This colored band should always appear on the control line zone if the drug and alcohol drug testing device is stored in good condition and the drug and alcohol drug test is performed appropriately.
The blood alcohol concentration (BAC) at which a person becomes impaired is variable. The United States Department of Transportation (DOT) has established a BAC of 0.02% (0.02g/dL) as the cut-off level at which an individual is considered positive for the presence of alcohol. Since urine alcohol concentration is normally higher than that in saliva and blood, the cutoff concentration for alcohol in urine is set at 0.04%.
This multi drug and alcohol test kit provides only a preliminary analytical test result.
The cutoff level for this Drug and Alcohol Test is 0.04% For customized cutoff level multi drug and alcohol drug tests, please contact Customer Service. This multi panel drug and alcohol test is available as a Rapid Test strip format.
USING HEPATITIS ELISA TEST KITS (HBsAg ELISA KITS) to detect HEPATITIS B VIRUS
HBsAg ELISA KITS
Los Angeles based Diagnostic Automation/Cortez Diagnostics, Inc., a leading provider of Hepatitis Test Kits, offers top quality HBsAg ELISA kits at competitive prices and in a timely manner. Our company is committed to offering the best quality HBsAg Elisa Kits worldwide. These convenient and easy-to-use HBsAg Elisa Kits (Hepatitis B ELISA Kits) can immediately detect any Hepatitis B surface antigen infection.
HBsAg ELISA kits and other Hepatitis ELISA test kits, also known as HBsAg EIA kits and HBV EIA kits, are Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays for qualitative detection of Hepatitis B viruses in human serum or plasma samples. Hepatitis B ELISA kits (HBsAg Elisa Kits) are intended for screening test of blood donors and as an aid for diagnosis.
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is transmitted through infected body fluids, including blood, semen, and vaginal fluids (including menstrual blood). It can also be transmitted from a pregnant woman to her child at or near the time of birth. There are several different Hepatitis ELISA tests kits to detect the hepatitis B virus. One of the most common Hepatitis ELISA test kits is the Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) ELISA Test Kit.
The Hepatitis B Test checks for substances in the blood that show whether a hepatitis B infection is active or has occurred in the past. The Hepatitis ELISA Test Kit (HBsAg ELISA Kit) looks for different signs of infection (markers). For example, Antigens are markers (HBsAg) made by bacteria or viruses, so the presence of hepatitis B antigens means that the virus is in the body. Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) is the earliest sign of an active hepatitis B infection. This antigen may be present before symptoms of an HBV infection are present. If this antigen is present for more than 6 months, then there is probably a chronic long-term HBV infection. This means the Hepatitis B virus can be spread to others through a person’s life. On the other hand, antibodies (HBsAb) are proteins produced by the body to fight infection. The presence of Hepatitis B antibodies means that there has been an exposure to the hepatitis B virus, whether from a long past exposure or a current infection. Genetic material (DNA) of the hepatitis B virus shows that the virus is in the body. The amount of DNA can help determine how severe the hepatitis infection is and how easily the HBV infection can be spread. It is important to identify the type of hepatitis virus causing the infection to prevent its spread and choose the proper treatment.
RESULTS OF HBsAg ELISA TESTS
For detection of HBsAg, this quick and accurate Hepatitis ELISA test kit uses antibody “sandwich” ELISA method in which, polystyrene microwell strips are pre-coated with monoclonal antibodies specific to HBsAg virus. Patient’s serum or plasma sample is added to the microwell together with a second antibody conjugated the enzyme horseradish peroxidase (the HRP-Conjugate) and directed against a different epitope of HBsAg. During incubation period of this HBsAg Elisa Test, the specific immunocomplex formed in case of presence of HBsAg (Hepatitis B virus) in the sample, is captured on the solid phase. After washing to remove sample serum proteins and unbound HRPconjugate, chromogen solutions containing tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) and urea peroxide are added to the wells. In presence of the antibody-antigen-antibody(HRP) “sandwich” immunocomplex, the colorless chromogens are hydrolyzed by the bound HRP-conjugate to a blue-colored product. The blue color turns yellow after stopping the reaction with sulfuric acid. The amount of color intensity can be measured and it is proportional to the amount of antigen captured in the wells, and to its amount in the sample respectively. Wells containing samples negative for the HBsAg virus remain colorless.
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is an enveloped, double-stranded DNA virus belonging to the Hepadnaviridae family and is recognized as the major cause of blood transmitted hepatitis together with hepatitis C virus (HCV). HBV virus infection induces a spectrum of clinical manifestations ranging from mild, inapparent disease to fulminant hepatitis, severe chronic liver diseases, which in some cases can lead to cirrhosis and carcinoma of the liver. Classification of a hepatitis B virus infection on this Hepatitis ELISA test requires the identification of several serological markers expressed during three phases (incubation, acute and convalescent) of the infection.
